Dec 4 Look at how cold his environment is as recorded by his photos. Reader's home is his coat. Sure hope it is a warm one.

Sep 28 Reader has not only an amazing eye for a picture, but a great sense of lighting. These pictures definitely stand out from the rest.

Sep 25 Reminded me of one night when I went to get my son(20 yr old then) when it was 29 degrees outside and I couldn't find him and he was there waiting in the cold under a bridge the street I didn't recognize. My heart was aching for him, I thought I was having a heart attack, I had no saliva in my mouth, It was aweful...my pain, his pain. MS Fort Worth

May 30 What does this have to do with homeless people? Where are all the people?
May 19 Reader does have a great eye. Please tell him so.

May 19 I enjoyed them all. I found there, a feeling of tranquility and closeness with the outdoors. I could almost smell the seasons.
May 18 I was homeless once for 3 years. These are great photos. Keep on keeping on

Mar 25 IS Reader his/her real name? or just a nickname. I enjoy Readers pictures.

Mar 20 I like all the pictures. They really make me think. I wonder why none of the pictures on this site are taken vertically...?

Mar 16 Think of what you would take pictures of if you were told to document a day in your life. What if you just didn't know? Imagine being homeless and a drifter. If you are more of a solitary person, you might just use up the film to get it done. But what I "get" from this is that the photographer isn't around people as there are none in his shots. It almost feels like likes the rain, but it could be the opposite. I like the pictures with the rain on the pavement myself. I look at this and wonder why the choice of photos. He could simply be showing us the elements he endures. Or he could be showing us that he doesn't know what the future holds for him....it's just a long road.

Mar 13 SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!!!

Mar 13 Wow, these are great, I love the grass busting through the concrete of some forgotten pavement, and the reflections in the water. Your photos have potential and life.
Mar 13 Can't we just say that these are great pictures... It doesn't matter who took them or why... They are just good because they are good.

Mar 13 most of these photos make me think "desolate"
interesting that this was my thought before reading all the other comments too.
I like the concept of the photo galleries too, and i hope if you make any money from these you don't keep it for yourself.

Mar 12 Reader - nicely done. I think you have a gift. I hope you continue taking photos and sharing them. #1 is my favorite.

Mar 12 those are snapshots, not photographs.

Mar 12 The people who are taking these pictures clearly have very little interest in documenting homeless life. Neither are they making profound artistic statements using imagery as metaphor. BUT it is a fascinating look at what a particular group of people finds beautiful and/or interesting. Many of you seem to be focused so hard on the "homeless" element that you forget that they are people just like everyone else. This is the risk of the ultra-lib "Noble Savage" ideal. Maybe they feel lonely because too many people think of them as something other than human.

Mar 12 nice pictures dude. take care

Mar 12 A camera is just a tool. It is the user of such a tool that makes creation possible. I truly feel for the poor fools who have to spend Daddy's money taking ridiculously expensive and close-minded instruction to call themselves "professional". Rattle off all the fancy terminology, anyone can do that. True talent, is innate. Training not needed.
Keep it up Reader.

Mar 12 Kudos to the last poster. Our own sentimentality and lack of experience in this realm is worth noting. Not to mention the self held dignity of any individual, no matter what position in life.

Mar 12 Too many posters are focussed on the idea that these people are homeless - if you look at the photos carefully, you'll see that these people are not focussedon their homelessness. These photos in this gallery are stunning; this person sees a beauty in this world that many pass by. Its a 'stop and smell the roses' type of thing, albeit bittersweet as the hand which held the camera was the hand of a homeless person. Instead of feeling sorry for them, why not befriend someone homeless? Got a spare blanket? Or a jacket? Or a sandwich? You'd be surprised how happy you can make someone with the tiniest bit of effort. These people live and laugh and love just like you do. Remember that...

Mar 12 I like the river creek one,the rest I seen before on my own walks, people need to get out of their houses more, and breathe the fresh air if they think these are masterpieces.---Good Job Reader,I like the perspectives,D

Mar 12 Thank you for sharing a part of the world as how you see it. Pictures 001 & 004 are just fantastic.
Mar 12 Definitely lonely, I also get a sense of continuance, most of the photos have a display of open space or road imagery. It makes me think he sees no end to it.
Mar 12 I see a reverence for emptiness and solitary space. . . but I like glasses that are half full.
Mar 12 beautiful, I wish that I had time to notice misty creeks again...
Mar 12 Notice how each photo has a far away perspective into an uncreachable territory while those that are up front and very in your face are thorny or in hospitable.
Mar 11 Moving stark photos of despair. To be homeless is to be lonely. Thats what I see for Reader's photos.
