S ome of us take life for graned! Well most of us do! This makes you think what it is like and how we should help them in any way we can.
Feb 26

His pictures are of real things and the Lorel ad shows whats fake. too bad we seem to value the fake to the real beauty of life.

You are welcome to come and live with my wife and I. Do you do chores, simple ones? God bless you. I will pray for you. Your photos are great.

The 6th pic was beautiful..think he took it laying down? I didn't see any emptiness.

A definite eye for nature, and not necessarily for it's beauty, but its rugged beauty. Well done!

I like what the last person said... "He has a fascinating and beautiful eye for emptiness." I agree with this completely!
Mar 16
I'd say the fact that most of his shots are of landscapes, that the Loreal ad kind of hints (to me at least) that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. These are the haves and the have nots. And sometimes maybe the landscape holds more value than what pop culture can offer.

Wonder what Raymond was seeing in the magazine shot. Well done Raymond.
Mar 12
I guess you have not been to Oregon. Portland and Eugene are the only real urban areas and Eugene is a stretch.
Mar 12
I want to know the story behind the shot of the lorel ad. It hints at something more than the other photos do.
Mar 12
awesome dog glasses
Mar 12
you think ray can see this on the net being homeless and all?
Mar 12
Our sheer lack of acceptance for what is... Everyone thinking that they themselves are meant to be more and that everyone else could or should be more.

These photos show the pain that is being homeless; why is this man living life this way? A twist of fate? A painful childhood? Abuse of drugs or alcohol? Whatever the reason, this person, this human being was meant for more. I agree with the poster who stated that he 'has the eye of a poet.' While these are hardly professional quality, as a professional photographer I can tell you that the composition is there, the spark of talent is there, and yes, this man could have (and should have!) lived a life as a successful artist.

The storage sign behind the person in the second to last pic says it all for these people. "We have room for you"...
Mar 12
Good Tob Ray,a good Variety,by the way are you tapping Blondie,I seen a hut with a pink backpack.

I can not help but wonder if the homeless are impeded by the presence of millions of illegal aliens who do drive up rental costs. America's working poor compete with illegals for jobs, housing, medical care, etc. America's elite class and most white-collar workers do not compete with illegals. I expect the number of homeless to rise as millions of illegal aliens flood in, causing hosuing costs to keep climbing ever-higher.

Picture 003 really caught my eye. The reflection of the light and the lonely path. Beautifully shot.
Mar 12
Raymond has the eye of a poet. I bet he doesn't have his way with words, though.
Mar 12
a surprising amount of life in these photos.
Mar 12
What beautiful scenery.
Mar 12
Love the textures in the 5th one down. Very warm, fuzzy.. a stark contrast to the reality.
Mar 12
Oddly, the natural settings of the Dog photos make this set. the rest of the photos are trying to say something that can be read as very amateur in execution, the opposite of the devestating affects of homlesness, while the dog gives a reason for this kind of plain view as he gives the photographer heart where he does not consciously see one, but obviously tries to exhibit aloneness...

I want to live in a tent. That's why I'm moving to california, where it's warm enough to live out my dream.
Mar 12
He has a fascinating and beautiful eye for emptiness. It is very telling that the images have few or no people considering the density of urban centers. good eye too.
